Use Firefox. So much better then IE.

In Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options > Security > Internet > set to the default level > OK > OK. The default level is "Medium" for Internet Explorer 6 and "Medium-high" if you are using IE-7 or 8.

Never set your security settings any lower than the default! Anything that you might find on the internet that does not "work" with default settings is more than likely virus or other malware.

Then the next time that yellow Information prompts you about Active-X, do as "Benjaman" (above) has suggested.

Screw active X and IE browser. Download Mozilla Firefox and kiss active X goodby.
