Outlook messages and address book are kept in a .pst file. You can get to it by going to My Computer >> C >> Documents and Settings. There will be user folders inside here. Open the user folder that is your login profile. If you can't see the "Application Data" folder, go up and click "Tools >> Folder Options >> View tab". Click the button that says "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and click OK. Open the Application Data folder, then the Microsoft folder, then the Outlook folder. Delete everything in that folder. Then go empty your recycle bin.

Keep in mind, this will delete EVERY email and contact you have in Outlook, but it will get you out of hot water.

Good Luck!

Short answer you can not. There is a boot disk that will let you boot windows and get admin privlages but I dont have a copy or know the link to send you. Then try to install outlook then. If you would like you can delete the emails or save them to a disk but I do not know where the emails are stored.

I hope that helped some.

Are they on the work/school server or on your laptop?Meaning if all your emails are on the server, there should be a web interface to look at your emails before you hand the laptop back to the "nosy" administrator. :-) Ask him/her if there is one set up.

If not, try a desktop or a friends computer (in the same work/school area and has the same type of email) and login using your Windows account and then login into Outlook to get rid of those emails.... Good luck!

Simply find your file that stores these emails. You can't read them w/out outlook but you can save them to a thumb drive and then erase them from the harddrive. When the laptop is returned, then simply use your thumbdrive to save them back to the file.

Your's may differ a little but usual locations for the file:

mydocuments/ username/ emailbackup

or

mydocuments/ username/ outlook

Ask your administrator to grant you temporary administrator rights to your computer so you can install the software. Once it's installed and working properly, you can notify him/her and they can reinstate your current settings. Either that, or have them install it for you.

If you are installing on a company computer, they have the right to read everything anyway.

Try thunderbird. http://www.mozilla.org/thunderbird It works similar to Outlook and read and recieve the same emails Outlook can. Also, you can import existing settings and emails. Hope it helps. Got Jesus? Find out how you can-> http://www.notreligion.com
